Minahil Khan is a Research Associate at RSIL’s Islamabad Office. Ms. Khan completed her LLB from the University of London and holds an LLM degree from the University of Sussex in International Commercial Law.
Upon her return in 2013 she worked in the lower courts for a year before joining the Supreme Court as a Law Clerk to Justice Gulzar Ahmed from 2014-2016. During this period she also assisted Justice Mian Saqib Nisar (Senior Puisne Judge) and drafted judgments, memoranda of cases, conducted research, vetted orders and examined case files for Justice Gulzar. She worked extensively on the military courts judgment and also drafted opinions on jail petitions and prepared a research paper on Competition Law in Pakistan for an international conference in Seoul.
She also planned and organized an extensive two day symposium on Reforming the Criminal Justice System held under the auspices of the Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan and co-authored the recommendations for the police group that were later presented to the Hon’ble Chief Justices of the High Courts.
Ms. Khan joined RSIL in September 2016 and is a member of the Conflict Law Centre. She also teaches European Union Law at the Roots Millennium University, Islamabad.
