Project Overview
The aim of this project was to increase the Pakistan’s legal profession’s knowledge and awareness of the responsibility of businesses to respect human rights through US and Pakistan’s cooperation. In this regard, two one-day symposiums were held in Lahore on Business and Human Rights and the law in Pakistan. The symposium brought together members of the legal fraternity, academia, government, business, and civil society.
RSIL also convened three multi stakeholder roundtables on areas of significant BHR relevance for Pakistan. One roundtable focused on the impact on women and girls of corporate activity in particular. It also brought together members from the fields of business, law, academia, government, and civil society.
