Project Overview
RSIL was engaged by UNDP to conduct research, capacity-building sessions and consultations on promoting access to environmental justice in Pakistan. This project involved conducting:
- an assessment of the link between access to environmental justice and business and human rights in Balochistan;
- an analysis of redressal mechanisms for the violation of environmental rights in Pakistan;
- a workshop with representatives of the Government of Balochistan on promoting access to environmental justice through the Balochistan Environmental Protection Act 2012; and
- a consultation on integrating youth and civil society perspectives into environmental decision-making in Balochistan.
