Seemal Hameed presently works as a Junior Research Associate at the Research Society of International Law. Ms. Hameed’s areas of interest include the implementation of international human rights obligations pertaining to the rights of children, and criminal justice reform. She assisted in drafting a Guide for Civil Servants in Pakistan and in capacity building exercises for the Police and Prosecution. Furthermore, Ms. Hameed, along with other RSIL team members drafted a report analyzing Pakistan’s State practice and international human rights obligations for the Ministry of Human Rights.

Ms. Hameed has completed her LL.B (Hons) from the University of London with Upper Second Class Honours.  She has also worked with SPARC (The Society for the Protection on the Rights of Child) and is assisting in their Annual Report on the State of Pakistan’s Children 2019.
